Jazz Club

The Jazz Club at Westlake is a before-school co-curricular opportunity available to all current 7th and 8th grade band students or students who already play a jazz band rhythm section instrument such as piano, guitar or bass. The club will open up to 6th graders in the 2nd semester. The Jazz Club will learn about jazz history, style, improvisation and arranging through performance. The Jazz Club will perform at 2 to 3 school concerts this year. Good attendance and timely arrival to rehearsals are required for participation.
