I have been working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing for over 20 years, and I still enjoy every minute of it! I graduated from a small college in Illinois with a BS in Deaf Education and Psychology. I then joined the Peace Corps where I had the honor of working at a school for the Deaf in Kenya for two years. I returned to the states and joined the Masters Program at UNC where I earned my MA degree in Severe Needs Hearing. I have worked with a variety of ages throughout my career, all the way from infants and their families to high school students. They are all my favorites. Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Game night is always fun! I love good coffee, I am a voracious reader, I enjoy traveling in and out of the country, I love TV and movies and most recently I have become addicted to an iPad game called HayDay. I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Westlake Middle School.
