After growing up in South Dakota, I served 4 years in the US Army trained as a medic and dental hygienist before getting my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at John Brown University in Arkansas. I than worked at behavior treatment centers in Michigan for several years before moving to Colorado to get my Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University of Norther Colorado in Greeley. I started at Westlake in 2001. My spare time includes outdoor activities including snowboarding, biking, hiking and flying hot air balloons.

Tips for Tough Times
Reach out. Tell someone how you're feeling. Ask for help.
Be patient with yourself. Give yourself enough time to work through what you're feeling.
Focus on the solution-not the problem.
Eat healthy, get enough rest and exercise! You will begin to feel better and your thoughts will be clearer.
Avoid using drugs or alcohol. They will only make the problem worse.
You're an important part of the Adams 12 community!
