This year will be my third year teaching American History and my 7th year at Westlake. Students in class will learn about content that ranges from prior to the American Revolution all the way through the Civil War and Reconstruction. They will be challenged to think critically about how historical events and people affected the development of the United States. They will be asked to research, understand, argue and defend various viewpoints on various topics throughout class.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Regis University in Interdivisional History and later earned a Master’s degree in Reading. While at Regis, I played baseball and still love the sport of Baseball even when the Rockies are as abysmal as they are this year. I also enjoy other outdoor activities including golf, fishing and hunting. I am excited for fun and challenges to come in the 2019-2020 school year.
